on the Other Side of the
O TO BE LIKE CHRIST
The thought landed upon me that in order to be more
like Christ I need to find twelve guys and a couple of
gals to follow me around listening intently to what I
have to say. The guys can be a combination of good and
bad, but one of the chicks should be an ex-whore. My
mom's always said I've got a savior complex, so I'm off
to a good start. The compassion and eccentric
philosophies come easily enough, but I've got to
continue working on forgiveness. I've recently become
a bit handier with carpenter tools, though I've not
been able to find my sandals since our last move.
Really, I don't think the way of dress has much to do
with anything, though. No, I think it's more about the
radical, tuned-in views on what real Love is and how we
share it with each other (well, that and the dozen or
so supporters to help spread the ideas. I should begin
recruiting...). The miracle thing is probably a bit
beyond my reach, but maybe I can make up for that in
the area of acceptance. Or passion - I've got a lot of
that. Still, it's going to be hard to do all this.
God help us all.
