Hugh Fox
on the other side of
the ragged EDGE...
- Hugh Fox is 71, just over (hopefully for good) prostate cancer, 80 books published, Ph.D. in American Lit but married a Peruvian and after years in Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, the Mexican desert, Chile, Brazil, etc. he began to see Phoenician writing on ancient Peruvian Indian pots, discovered that there that been Phoenician colonies in Mexico and Peru and the Phoenicians had been in Bolivia at the time of King Solomon. So the Phoenician voyage described in the bible to cross the ocean to get the Jews' gold....was a voyage to South America. Three wives, six children, some 25 novels, 5 Indian books, six autobiographies and volumes of collected short fiction and poetry on shelves looking for publisher.
He is a major figure in the U.S. small press world, serving as editor of Ghost Dance: the International Quarterly of Experimental Poetry from 1968-1995.
